Agrimony (Agrimonia Eupatoria Flower Extract)
Agrimony or Cockleburrhas been used for centuries. It is an amazing herb that helps to heal wounds and reduce swelling in the skin. It is slightly astringent so it reduces oil production and mildly antiseptic. It can reduce swelling and redness and prevent pimples.
Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract)
Aloe vera is great to help prevent acne, but it also has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the skin inflammation caused by acne.
Babassu Nut (Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil)
Rich in vitamin E, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant agent. An excellent skin softener that gently moisturizes the skin.
Brazil Nut (Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil)
Rich in Vitamins A and E, antioxidents, high in essential fatty acids, softening the skin in a light way.
Calendula (Calendula Officinalis Extract)
Calendula is extracted from the bright orange flowers of Marigolds. It is somewhat of a wonder herb for acne for two reasons. Firstly it is anti microbial, this means that in tests it kills bacteria, particularly the type that cause acne (Staphylococcus). Secondly it actually speeds up the healing of your skin so that spots don’t hang around so long. If the bacteria are dying off and your skin is healing faster it stands to reason that using this can mean clearer skin.

Hazelnut (Corylus Avellana Seed Oil)
This is a wonderful oil that has many benefits for acne prone skin. As with most oils it has a moisturizing effect. That is why it is in our moisturizing lotion, but it is not simply another oil. The properties of the hazelnut are slightly astringent. Hazelnut oil controls the bodies own oil production and in addition can tighten the pores. The oil is non-comedogenic meaning it will not clog your pores or give you blackheads. One further benefit of hazelnut oil is that is regularly included in sunscreen as it has antioxidant properties that help to prevent sun damage to your skin. Hazelnut oil is very high in vitamin E, contains antioxidents, has antibacterial, astringent and anti-Inflammatory properties.
Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia Herb Oil)
Lavender is a great antiseptic and anti-fungal which helps to reduce scarring and speed healing. It is also an anti-inflammatory amongst a host of other benefits.
Lemon Tea Tree (Leptospermum Petersonii Oil)
A superb anti-microbial oil suited to anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-inflammitory skin conditions.
Macadamia Nuts (Ternifolia Seed Oil)
Macadamia nut oil is extremely light and does not block pores. Macadamia oil has a chemical profile very similar to Sebum. Sebum is the oil teenage skin produces in excessive quantities, which leads to spots. Using a light oil like this on your skin can actually send signals to your body to slow down on Sebum production. It will regulate oil production and moisturize skin. Macadamia oil also has a slightly anti-inflammatory action which can cool and soothe the skin Full of vitamin E and palmitoleic acid. Mallow (Althaea Officinalis Root Extract)
Extracted from the plant's flowers and leaves, it has excellent soothing and emollient properties leaving skin feeling soft and smooth.
Nettle (Urtica Dioica Extract)
These are high in anti-oxidents, act as an anti-inflammatory, astringent, anti-bacterial as well as having healing properties.
Oregon Grape (Berberis Aquifolium Extract)
Oregon Grape is a wonderful herb for the clearing the skin. It contains a compound called Berbamine. The Berbamine found in Oregan Grape kills bacteria on contact. It also improves the immune function which means that your body can fight back more easily against the bacteria that are causing acne. It also helps to reduce inflammation, skin rashes and irritations.
